Customer Support Specialist
What does it takes
As part of the Claims Administration team, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all new claims and play a crucial role in ensuring accurate data entry into the system. Responsibilities will include data entry, communication with internal staff, external trades, insurance companies, and homeowners; triaging damages, and arranging necessary reporting and emergency repairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new claims, providing prompt and courteous assistance to clients.
- Accurately enter new claim information into internal system, ensuring data accuracy.
- Maintain clear and effective communication both internally and externally, utilising written and verbal channels.
- Demonstrate empathy and patience when interacting with clients, understanding their needs and concerns.
- Triage damages that have occurred onsite, prioritising urgent cases and coordinating appropriate responses.
- Arrange for specialist trades, emergency repairs, and internal estimator attendances as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless coordination and resolution of client issues.
- Escalate any exceptional issues to the Team Lead or Line Manager.
- Monitor call volumes throughout the day and be ready to respond to any spikes in call volumes.
- Maintain a collaborative, motivated, and high standard of quality service with both internal and external contacts.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in data entry, customer service, logistics, or any related role.
- Proficiency in customer support software, CRM, and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving in managing and resolving client issues.
