Senior Accountant
What does it take
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. Additionally, this role will provide support to the Finance Manager and will cover their duties in their absence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable & Receivable – Process invoices and payments, track client invoices, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Expense & Bank Reconciliation – Review expense claims, reconcile credit card transactions, and resolve discrepancies in financial accounts.
Invoice Management – Prepare and issue invoices, handle credit notes and adjustments, and ensure accurate records for audits.
Financial Accuracy & Reporting – Verify data, assist in month-end/year-end closing, and generate reports for budgeting and forecasting.
Audit & Compliance – Prepare documentation for audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
Finance Manager Support – Provide backup coverage, handle urgent queries, and maintain smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with significant experience in accounts payable, receivable, and invoicing.
- A graduate of Accountancy or a related course, with CPA certification preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to cross-check and validate financial data.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.
