IT Support Engineer

What does it take

Being an IT Support Engineer means being the backbone of an organisation’s tech infrastructure. You need a solid foundation in IT systems, troubleshooting, and security, along with strong problem-solving skills. Experience with Office 365, Azure/AWS, networking, firewalls (Meraki/Watchguard), and ISO 27001 security standards is essential. Beyond technical expertise, success in this role requires excellent communication and teamwork to provide seamless support. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical support in an MSP or similar environment.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Office 365, Azure/AWS, networking, and firewalls (Meraki/Watchguard).
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies.
  • Implement and enforce ISO 27001 security standards and controls.
  • Manage domain DNS and related configurations.
  • Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical support role within an MSP or similar environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Office 365, Azure/AWS, networking, and firewall management.
  • Experience with ISO 27001 security standards and DNS management.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure Administrator, CCNA, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
